Planning the perfect graduation cake

Planning the perfect graduation cake

Planning the perfect graduation cake

Graduation commencement can be the highlight of any student and their parents. No matter if you’re celebrating a high school or college graduation, the achievement is an occasion worth acknowledging in a big way. And no celebration is complete without a fun and festive graduation cake.

But planning a graduation cake can be confusing and even stressful if you’re unsure what you want. The bevy of photos on the internet can be helpful in designing, however, there are so many other elements that go into planning your perfect graduation cake.

Servings

A great place to start when planning the perfect graduation cake is to determine how many guests you wish to serve. Our round cakes can serve as few as 6 or as many as 65. Tiered cakes can serve as few as 20 or as many as 600. Sheet cakes will serve between 25 and 100 guests while sculpted cakes may serve 15 to 30.

If you’re unsure how many guests to expect, a good rule of thumb is to plan on serving 80% of invited guests. You can use our cake serving guide to help you determine what size cake is best for you. Before you make your final decision on what type of cake to begin with, there are a few serving considerations to keep in mind.

Tiered and sculpted cakes can be tricky to serve if you’ve never done it before and can require a skilled server to ensure maximum servings are met. These delicate cakes require a large flat surface, a steady hand, and careful driving when transporting from place to place. Depending on your flavor, design, and outdoor temperatures, some cakes may need to be kept refrigerated.

If you’re looking for easy serving for a laid back party, a single tiered round cake or a sheet cake may best suit your needs. While these cakes must be transported with the same care and attention as tiered and sculpted cakes, round and sheet cakes are much easier to serve. Sheet cakes are also great for celebrating multiple graduates or different school colors.

Flavors and Fillings

The flavor options for your graduation cake greatly depends on the type and size of cake you opt for. Round cakes and sheet cakes are available in most cake flavors, fillings, and icings. Tiered cakes can have one flavor and filling on the top tier with a completely different flavor and filling on the bottom tier. Sculpted cakes are mostly available in vanilla cake, however in some cases and designs, other cake flavors may be available. Fillings are not available inside sculpted cakes, however, we are happy to provide a side of your favorite filling if you would like the added flavor.

Cake flavors

The most popular flavors include our homemade vanilla or chocolate. Many graduates prefer to include both flavors and opt for a layer of each flavor. You can also choose from our specialty cake flavors including carrot, red velvet, strawberry, almond, and more.

Icings

Our standard icing is our famed buttercream icing. We use this as filling and icing in almost all our cakes. While buttercream is the most common icing, we do offer a variety of other flavors. Chocolate buttercream, strawberry buttercream, and almond buttercream are among some of the flavors we can whip up. Depending on your cake size and design options we can also use whipped cream or cream cheese icing.

Fillings

Some cakes allow for a filling between the layers. Round, tiered, and sheet cakes can have one filling with buttercream icing. Popular filling options include strawberry, strawberry cheese, raspberry, chocolate, and lemon.

Design

Designing your graduation cake is the most important process in the cake planning process. You may want your cake to make a statement while incorporating all the elements that reflect who you are on your special day. Perhaps you want an elegant design for an intimate dinner party. Or you may want to create a fun party-like cake that celebrates all your hard work.

If you’re choosing a round or sheet cake you may want festive balloons or pretty flowers that match your school colors. If you’re planning a family gathering, you can bring in a photo that we can reproduce on a sheet of fondant that can cover most of your cake. Some graduation cakes have a laid back beach theme that includes waves, edible sand, and palm trees. In all of these designs, we can add a keepsake graduation cap and diploma.

Tiered cake designs can vary greatly. Some graduation cakes incorporate every element of a graduates schooling such as nursing, aviation, or teaching. Other cakes may include a host of small, icing framed, photos of the graduate’s school activities as well as life interests such as events, school clubs, social engagements, and family times. We’ve created tiered graduation cakes that have nothing to do with school at all. Some graduates want a fun cake with elaborate designs such as a Parisian or Disney theme.

Sculpted graduation cakes are also available in a variety of themes. How does a cake in the shape like an over sized graduation cap sound? Or perhaps you’d like a stack of books topped with a fondant graduation cap and diploma? Our sculpted cakes are created by hand in a myriad of designs that can cap off your graduation celebration.

We strongly urge you to have an idea of your cake design before starting the order process. The internet is full of amazing photos that can help you decide what cake is best for you. While we will never claim to be able to reproduce a cake made by another designer, we can use it as inspiration to create your one-of-a-kind graduation cake.

Budget

Your budget is the most important, yet least discussed element of your graduation cake planning. Finding a three-tiered cake on Pinterest that is covered in fondant and designed with custom fondant pieces is certainly something we can create. However, tiered cakes, fondant, and custom pieces require more time, training, and resources than a cake with fewer design elements. This will have a major effect on availability and final cost.

It’s important to have a practical idea of the amount of money you want to spend on your graduation cake before hitting the designing stage. Some cakes and designs can be created with our buttercream icing. Our skilled decorators have mastered the art of buttercream detailing which allows us to offer more designs at a fraction of the fondant costs. If you have a cake budget that will not accommodate the highly detailed fondant work, we are happy to help come up with a design plan that may fit your needs without stretching your wallet.

Transferring and storage

Cakes are delicate works of art and need to be transported and stored properly. No matter the size, flavor, or design of your graduation cake, it should always sit on a flat surface of your vehicle while you travel. This can be the floorboard, trunk, or back cargo area. Holding a cake in your lap or simply putting it on the seat of your car is not recommended. In fact, that is the biggest reason many cakes slide or fall.

Once you arrive at your home or celebration venue, bring the cake to a cool area (preferably indoors) and leave it on a flat surface. Be sure to keep animals, children, and hungry guests away from the cake until you’re ready to serve.

Let us help plan your graduation cake

If you are ready to plan your graduation cake with your favorite hometown bakery, we are here and ready to make your day special. We have provided graduation cakes for families in the Jacksonville area for more than 50 years.

It is our honor and privilege to be a part of your family’s celebration.

Easter Egg Cakes for Every Table

Easter Egg Cakes for Every Table

Easter Egg Cakes for Every Table

For more than 50 years, we have created beautiful Easter egg cakes for families to enjoy. These colorful cakes are used as centerpieces, Easter gifts, and as a dessert treat for Easter dinner.

What makes our Easter egg cake so special?

Our Easter egg cakes are made from scratch right here in our Jacksonville Beach bakery. Our master bakers use age old techniques to create cakes in various flavors such as vanilla, chocolate, Kylie, and more.

As with most of our products, we use only non-GMO flours and never add any preservatives, chemicals, or un-pronouncable ingredients. Our rules of baking are simple:

If we won’t feed it to our own children, we don’t want to feed it to yours.

Design your own Easter egg cake

Once cooled, our Easter egg cakes are ready for decorating. You’ll find an array of pastel, bright, and marbled colored egg cakes in our showcase and each one is individually decorated. From blooming flowers to underwater paradise, we can create the perfect Easter egg cake for your holiday table.

Cake flavor

If you order well in advance, you can choose the flavor, color, and design for your egg cake. This year, we’re offering vanilla, chocolate, ½ & ½, and our famous Kylie cake (baked with colorful sprinkles).

Icing choices

You can design your Easter egg cake with our homemade chocolate buttercream or vanilla buttercream in an wide range of colors. We recommend choosing an icing color that will match your overall design.

Design options

Each of our Easter egg cakes is unique in its design.

Traditional eggs include gentle icing swags, buttercream roses, and intricate details in pastel colors.

Favored eggs can feature sugar paste flowers surrounded by Easter grass, puffy flowers in neon colors, or even a brightly colored underwater paradise.

Eclectic eggs can include our famous plaid egg with nearly every color in our fandex, paint splatter design created with bright colors, and even cakes with lady bugs piped all over.

Custom designs will be catered to your desires. If you want an orange and blue design with an over-sized gator piped on the top, we can create it. If you want an ornate Faberge egg design in pastel colors, we can make that as well.

Order your Easter egg cakes soon

While we can create almost any design, we are limiting the amount of custom orders. We highly recommend placing all Easter orders by Wednesday, April 17. This will allow us to make final preparations and begin the process of creating the best Easter products for you and your family.

Spring in for Strawberry Donuts!

Spring in for Strawberry Donuts!

Spring in for Strawberry Donuts!

It’s strawberry season and you know what that means. Strawberry Donuts are about to hit our shelves! We’ve been busy selecting the finest ingredients in preparation for our spring signature donut flavor and cannot wait to unveil them in April.

Why strawberry donuts?

Strawberries are one of spring’s most popular fruit. So much so, smaller towns in our area host strawberry festivals and many local farms offer strawberry picking activities. With so many opportunities to eat this super awesome fruit, why not add it to your favorite breakfast treat?

Donuts make busy school mornings a little easier. They can brighten the mood in any office. They can even take away the mid-week blues. And since our strawberry donuts are made with non-GMO ingredients, you can spread the donut joy to more of your friends and family.

When do you make strawberry donuts?

We feature four different signature flavor donuts throughout the year. Our summer flavor is Key Lime which runs from July through September. Fall brings the ever famous Pumpkin donuts running from October through Christmas Eve. January through March, we make our signature Coffee donuts. Strawberry donuts are our signature spring flavor. We create these delicious bites from April 1 through June 30.

Like all of our donuts, our strawberry donuts are made from scratch every morning. If you come early enough, you may get your hands on some hot strawberry donuts. What better way to start your morning than with a hot, fresh donut and a friendly face?

How can I get my hands on some?

While our strawberry donuts may not have the pomp and circumstance that our pumpkin donuts receive, these little guys are just as flavorful. The first week of Strawberry Donut season, we highly recommend pre-ordering your dozens. This will ensure you have plenty to hand out to your friends, co-workers, and family. Take an extra dozen to snack on for yourself too!

Same day orders may also be available if we haven’t sold out of these delicious donuts. Simply give us a call and we will handle the rest.

Which Chocolate Cake is Right for You

Which Chocolate Cake is Right for You

Which Chocolate Cake is Right For You?

Chocolate cake has been a favored dessert item for many generations. It has been served for birthdays, graduations, weddings, and after dinner treats. We’ve even heard tale of chocolate cake for breakfast!

With the popularity of chocolate cake over the years, many different flavor combinations have emerged. In fact, we offer six different chocolate cakes on a daily basis. From triple chocolate goodness to something on the lighter side it can be hard knowing what type of cake to bring home.

Here are five of our most popular chocolate cakes to help you decide which chocolate cake is best for you and your guests.

Six Layer Chocolate

Our Six Layer Chocolate Cake has been a family favorite since 1964. It is created with six luscious layers of our homemade chocolate cake and our Cinotti Family Fudge icing. Our decorators fill each layer with an ample amount of fudge icing before completely covering the entire cake with more fudge icing. We then garnish the cake with milk-chocolate curls. The Six Layer is also available in our moist vanilla cake.

Sacher Torte

What’s not to love about the Sacher Torte? Our Sacher Torte (pronounced ‘Soccer Torte’) takes a slight twist from the original Austrian version. This four-layer chocolate cake features delicious raspberry filling and our homemade chocolate buttercream icing. We then pour a warm chocolate ganache over the cake and allow the thin layers of raspberries to absorb into the chocolate cake layers. The tart raspberries combined with the sweet chocolate create a truly magical flavor combination that will please almost any palate.

Chocolate Buttercream

The chocolate buttercream is on the top of the list of favorite chocolate cakes. The combination of thick chocolate icing folded into our homemade buttercream creates a milk chocolate confection suitable for all levels of chocolate lovers. The cake is iced with this chocolate buttercream before being liberally covered with milk chocolate curls and drizzled with warm chocolate ganache.

Sawgrass

The name of our decadent chocolate cake was inspired by the hotel we created it for in the ‘90’s, the Sawgrass Marriott. Our Sawgrass cake is a chocolate lover’s dream. Each of the four layers of dense chocolate cake is covered in a rich, creamy chocolate icing. The cake is completely covered in the Sawgrass icing before being rolled in semi-sweet chocolate pieces. We’ve heard tale of some customers challenging each other to see just how much of this rich chocolate cake can be eaten in one sitting… will you take on this challenge?

Fudge Top

Our Fudge Top cake is the perfect blend of vanilla and chocolate. We sandwich a thick layer of buttercream between two full layers of chocolate cake. The top of the cake is iced with our family’s fudge icing and the sides are covered in our buttercream icing. We then drizzle warm chocolate ganache down the sides to create a truly beautiful cake. The Fudge Top is the perfect cake for events where you’re not sure what everyone likes.

So, which chocolate cake is right for you?

Deciding on what cake to bring to an event is hard, especially if you’re not sure what everybody likes. That’s why we maintain a few ‘crowd pleaser’ cakes on our menu such as the Fudge Top and Six Layers. Both offer a balance of vanilla and chocolate and are ‘safe bets’ for workplaces and pot lucks.

Now that you know a little more about some of the popular chocolate cakes we offer, you may be at a loss as to which one you and your family should try first. We completely understand this conundrum and we have a solution…

You can take home one chocolate cake each night and let the whole family decide which one they like best!

This is the fun and tasty way to solve any problem… right?

Foods for Lent

Foods for Lent

Foods for Lent

Ash Wednesday kicks off a season of fasting and prayer for many Christians. Some may give up social media while others give up their favorite foods. In year’s past, some of our customers have chosen to abstain from sweets. Some have even chosen to completely give up coming to our bakery for the entire 40 days of Lent. While we are honored to be such a big part of your walk, we invite you to consider alternative foods for Lent you may find in our bakery.

Alternative Breakfast

Egg Sandwich

Low sugar meals are a huge part of Lent traditions. But preparing foods for Lent that aren’t full of sugar can wreak havoc on your morning routine. If you’re tight on time on school mornings, hop in for a warm egg sandwich on a toasted bagel. We have cheese and bread options to suit almost every taste bud. And you can call your order in before leaving your house and cut your wait time down. You and your little ones can fill up on a healthy meal and you can feel good about keeping your Lent promise…just close your eyes as you walk past the donut case.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal ranks high on the foods for Lent list for many reasons. Oatmeal is filling and low in calories making it the perfect breakfast for those watching their sugar intake. We have topping options that include brown sugar (add a smidge to your bowl for flavor), cinnamon (a natural sweetener), honey (from local farms), and milk. You can bring in your favorite granola or fruit toppings to mix in as well.

Peanut Butter & Honey Bagel

Order a wheat bagel toasted with peanut butter and honey to start your morning off with a powerful breakfast. The protein packed peanut butter will keep you full while also providing ‘good fats’ which can aide in reducing cholesterol. And, we use locally grown honey which can help reduce pollen allergies and sinus inflammation.

Hot Cross Buns

Perhaps the most iconic of breakfast foods for Lent is the Hot Cross Bun. Our buns are made of a buttery dough with red and green cherries as well as raisins. They are topped with a cross made of icing to give just a touch of sweetness to the dough.

Lent Approved Lunches

Egg Salad

Move over Meatless Mondays. Fridays in Lent mean meatless meals for many families. Use UberEats or GrubHub to have a freshly prepared egg salad sandwich delivered right to your door. Ask for it on toasted white bread, wheat bread, or even an unleavened pita pocket.

Salads

Most of our salads are served with chicken or meat of some kind, but during Lent, you can request a change of protein. Our salad plate is served with three scoops of prepared salads such as tuna, egg, chicken, macaroni, or potato on a bed of lettuce with tomatoes. Our chef salad is served with ham and turkey, but we can happily substitute the meat for added cheese or a meatless topping of your choice.

Tuna Salad

If fish is an approved item on your foods for Lent list, try our tuna salad on toasted whole wheat bread. This delicious meal will not only fuel your body, it can also increase your brain’s ability to communicate to your nerve cells. Add a bit of romaine lettuce and a fresh tomato and you’ve got yourself a powerfully packed lunch.

What are your favorite foods for Lent?

Does your family celebrate with different foods for Lent? Come on in and share some of your favorite family traditions, foods, and activities.

Celebrate Mardi Gras with A Traditional King Cake

Celebrate Mardi Gras with A Traditional King Cake

Celebrating Mardi Gras with A Traditional King Cake

A traditional king cake is an iconic Mardi Gras treat in many homes throughout the world. The ‘cake’ is often the focal point of many office gatherings and family events for many reasons. Some love the king cake because of the dense flavor combination of the filling and buttery dough? Others use it as a centerpiece because of the beautiful array of purple, green, and gold topping. Many love getting a king cake because whoever finds the baby hidden inside will receive great fortune in the coming year.

No matter what your favorite part of the king cake is, we are ready to make this the best year yet.

What is a King Cake?

The origin of the king cake can be traced to 12th century France. Epiphany Day (or King’s Day) is celebrated on January 6th each year and the period between Epiphany Day and Ash Wednesday is referred to as Carnival. Years ago, during Carnival, devout Roman Catholics would purge their homes of rich, fatty foods in preparation for the 40 days of fasting during Lent.

The rich foods such as eggs, milk, lard, and meats were used to make a bevy of foods and desserts. Residents would binge on the heavy foods until the end of Carnival which took place on Fat Tuesday. Early Europeans developed a new creation during this period that used the rich ingredients as well as honored the meaning of Epiphany Day.

The king cake was created to celebrate the coming of the Three Wise Men to baby Jesus. The cakes were circular to represent the route taken by the kings to confuse King Herod. The royal colors topping the king cake signify different elements. Purple represents justice; Green represents faith; and Gold represents power.  Creamy puddings were made with leftover eggs and milk and used as fillings in the king cake.

Our King Cake

Our king cake is made with a rich, brioche-like dough. The twisted braid of each cake represents a king’s crown. The king cake is approximately 12 inches in diameter and serves 10 to 12 people. We insert a plastic baby in each cake that is hidden beneath the icing. This year, our cakes will have the traditional green, purple, and yellow sugar topping. While our base flavor is cinnamon, you can order a king cake with your choice of filling. We offer a variety of fillings including: Strawberry, Strawberry/Cheese, Lemon, Lemon/Cheese, Cherry, Pineapple, Pineapple/Cheese, Blueberry, and Raspberry.

What’s the Deal with the Baby?

In early days, trinkets representing royalty or the Christ Child were baked into the king cake to offer a token of good fortune for the finder. The practice became so popular; it still remains today. The only difference in today’s king cake over those of yesteryear is the material of the trinket. Most bakeries now insert a plastic baby into the cooled cake prior to icing.

Ordering a King Cake

We strive to create a variety of flavors on a daily basis on the days leading up to Mardi Gras. However, if you want to guarantee your king cake flavor is available, we strongly suggest ordering ahead. If you are serving the king cake to children or prefer to not have the plastic baby in the cake, you will need to order the king cake in advance. We will take orders for king cakes via phone or in our store up until Friday, March 2.

We hope this Mardi Gras brings good fortune to you and your family. As always, we are ever thankful for your continued support of our family dream.

Thank you and may God bless.

Eating Healthy

Yes, we are aware the word ‘BAKERY’ is in our name, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be healthy.  We offer a host of healthy breakfast and lunch choices.

In the morning, join us for a plate of freshly prepared grits and scrambled eggs. Or, if you have a sweet tooth, order a cup of oatmeal served with brown sugar and cinnamon. If your New Year’s resolutions include limiting your carb intake, you can order any of our breakfast sandwiches to be made without bread. Pair any of these with a cup of our signature coffee and you’ll be off to a great start.

For lunch, we have a selection of salads that are filling and delicious. Our Salad Plate is a tasty twist on conventional salads. We pile three scoops of your favorite salads on top of shredded lettuce and tomatoes. Our chef salad includes a balanced blend of romaine lettuce and spring mix. The fresh vegetables combined with protein rich boiled eggs, ham, and turkey make this a filling and nutritious lunch choice.

Spending time with family

Family ties are important in so many ways which is why so many people include spending more time with family in their New Year’s resolutions. We support that idea BIG TIME. No matter who you call family, spending time together is healthy for everyone.

We love seeing our extended ‘family’ of regulars who come in on a daily or weekly basis. They bring their children, friends, grand-children, neighbors, and sometimes strangers in to share a tasty treat or meal. Their laughter fills the room and spreads positivity across the bakery.

Swing in the bakery after work and pick up a box of cookies to surprise the family, or grab a ‘just because’ cake for an after dinner treat. In any case, we are here to help your family time be a little sweeter.

Live each day to the fullest

Eating healthy and spending time with others is important, but sometimes, having a bit of ‘me’ time is just as important. If that ‘me’ time comes with a sweet tooth, we can certainly help. Grab a decorated cookie…or two, to sate your craving. The buttery cookie base is covered in our homemade buttercream icing before being beautifully decorated by our skilled artisan.

For a little less icing, try our iced cutouts. These buttery cookies are iced in a thinner, fondant-like vanilla icing. Each cookie is meticulously decorated by a skilled artist before making its way to you. Come in and fill up on these delicious works of art.

 Love your New Years resolutions

Eating healthy, spending time with family, and living life to the fullest are admirable goals for anyone. Make this the year to do what makes you happy and enjoy every moment.  We are here to add a little sweetness and love to your day.

Come in…taste and see…

Yuletide Greetings and Happy Eatings!

Yuletide Greetings and Happy Eatings!

Yuletide Greetings and Happy Eatings!

Each year, we have a beautiful yule log on display in our showcase. It’s a delicious combination of traditional sponge cake, homemade buttercream icing, creamy chocolate icing, and gumpaste poinsettias.  The yuletide treat has been a staple December product for more than 60 years in our bakery and remains a Christmas tradition for many families.

While we continue to produce the tasty tradition, we invite those who’ve never experienced the flavor, to come in to taste and see what this yuletide tradition is all about.

History of the Yule log

The yule log was originally a large tree cut from a family’s yard before being pulled by a mule or horse through the street. Families would march the yule log around their house three times before bringing it in.  Yuletide songs of blessings were sung as in hopes for good fortune in the new year.

Only a fraction of the oversized log would fit into the fireplace, leaving the rest of it to hang in the common room of the house. Families decorated the remaining length of the log and blessed it with ceremonial spirits until the entire log fit into the fireplace. It was believed anything evil from the year could be left on the log and once burned, the bad luck accompanying it would disappear as well.

Some cultures would burn their yule log for twelve hours but it’s the Scandinavian’s who are credited with burning the log for the twelve days. This is the span between Christmas Eve until the end of Winter Solstice known as “The 12 Days of Christmas.”. Hence the popularity of the “Twelve Days of Christmas.” No matter what tradition called for on the duration of the yule log burn, one common belief remained; if the log went out too soon, bad luck would ensue.

The ashes were also used as part of the ritual.  When planting day came, ashes from the yule log were sprinkled onto the fields in hopes of spreading good luck even further.

As years passed, the length of yule logs dwindled. Families chose logs that fit the entire girth of their fireplace rather than have the log stick out into their homes.  The decorations and ceremony, however, did not change. In many cultures today, the yule log is still very much celebrated today.

Who celebrates with Yule Logs today?

In America and some European cultures today, yule logs are offered in a much tastier form.   In Provencal, France, the tradition of burning an oversized log transferred to a celebratory eating of a delicacy on Christmas Eve.  Leave it to the French to reinvent the wheel with something tasty- right?

The ‘buche de noel’, as commonly referred to, is a tightly rolled sponge cake iced in chocolate cake made to look like a log.  With knobs, roots, and some sort of winter flower such as poinsettias, this sweet cake is designed to mimic the yule log tradition.  With many versions of the classic cake around today-including those soaked in ‘ceremonial spirits’ like the old days, it’s clear this is a popular winter treat.

Yuletide Blessings

The Christmas season is full of wonderful family traditions such as decorating gingerbread houses, singing carols, and spending evenings by the fireplace…that is, when Florida remembers that it’s winter! If your yuletide traditions include a stop at your favorite family bakery, we invite you to come in and share a memory, eat a cookie, and simply enjoy the season.

Thanksgiving Week: Special Hours

Thanksgiving Week: Special Hours

Thanksgiving Week: Special Hours

For Thanksgiving week, we change our hours in an effort to provide the freshest baked goods for everyone. Our hard working staff work around the clock chopping, weighing, baking, and decorating cookies, cakes, pies, and full dinners. To show our appreciation to our dedicated staff family, the entire bakery shuts down from Thursday through Saturday of Thanksgiving week.

Thanksgiving Week Hours

Monday November 19, Tuesday November 20, and Wednesday November 21, we will be open from 6am to 5pm.

During our open hours, we will stock our shelves with all the Thanksgiving treats and traditions you’ve come to expect over the years.

Ordering your products in advance

While we will be working hard to provide fresh cookies, cakes, pies, and breads for the community, we cannot guarantee anyone an item without an advanced order. If you have a special cookie in mind to share with your loved ones, we strongly urge you to call or come in to place your order before noon on Monday November 19.

We will not accept or change any orders submitted after noon on Monday November 19. With the thousands of order we have to process in two days, there is no way to search, add, or cancel any pre-existing orders. We will, however, strive to stock our cases with cookies, pies, rolls, cakes, and breakfast goodies. These treats will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Emailing questions or orders

Unfortunately, our entire staff will be busy preparing the thousands of baked goods over the three days of Thanksgiving week. While we will try to answer emails, we cannot guarantee it will be in a timely manner.

Storing and reheating your Thanksgiving Dinner

When you pick up your meal, it will be chilled and should go directly into your refrigerator until you are ready to serve. To reheat your meal follow these instructions:

Turkey: Preheat oven to 325. Remove plastic wrap and leave the turkey in foil pan-do not remove top foil. Heat in oven for approximately 1 1/2 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove the foil, carve and enjoy.

Side Orders: To reheat the side dishes, preheat oven to 325. Please remove the top of the container and cover with foil if desired. Reheat side dishes for 30 minutes or until internal temp reaches 185 degrees.

Rolls: Pre-heat oven to 300. Remove the rolls from the package, cover with foil, and heat in the oven 10-15 minutes or until hot.

We are thankful for you

No matter what you serve or who you choose to prepare your holiday meal, we sincerely hope you spend the day making memories with loved ones. We are thankful for your understanding of our staff’s much deserved days off during Thanksgiving week. And we are especially thankful for your continued support of our family business.

Happy Thanksgiving!
