There are certain mornings around Cinotti’s that have a little more excitement than usual.
Long before the bakery cases are filled with donuts and pastries, and before the first cup of coffee is poured, there’s often a truck waiting at the back door. Inside are boxes that have traveled thousands of miles from Italy, carrying products we’ve been looking forward to sharing with our customers.
Some of those products disappear from the shelves faster than we’d like. Others become staples that many families come back for again and again. So, when a fresh shipment arrives, it feels a little like welcoming old friends back home.
This week has been one of those weeks.
Our shelves are full again with many of the imported Italian favorites that customers have been asking about, making it the perfect time to stroll through the market, discover something new, or stock up on the ingredients you never want to be without.
Even better, we’re celebrating with our Summer Sale, where everything in our Italian Market and retail store is 50% off. The only exception is our wine collection, which remains competitively priced. Even so, it’s worth taking a few extra minutes to browse the wine shelves while you’re here because there’s always something new waiting to be discovered.
The Pasta Aisle Is Looking Good Again
If you’ve visited us recently, you may have noticed a few empty spots where customer favorites had sold through. Thankfully, those shelves look full once again.
One of the joys of an Italian market is finding pasta shapes you won’t typically see at the grocery store. Every shape has a purpose. Some are made to catch hearty sauces, while others are perfect for lighter olive oil dishes or creamy butter sauces. Choosing the right pasta is part of the fun, and it’s one of the reasons authentic Italian cooking feels so thoughtful without being complicated.
Whether you’re planning a comforting family dinner or simply restocking your pantry, there’s something satisfying about opening the cabinet and seeing quality ingredients waiting for you.
Sometimes the Smallest Ingredients Make the Biggest Difference
Among this week’s arrivals is another favorite that we’re always happy to see return to the shelves: Ferrarini Butter.
European butter has long been a staple in Italian kitchens because of its rich flavor and higher butterfat content. It melts beautifully into hot pasta, spreads generously across warm bread, and adds a depth of flavor that’s difficult to describe until you’ve tasted it yourself.
It’s one of those ingredients that quietly transforms a meal without asking for much attention. Add a pat of butter, a sprinkle of freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano, and a little cracked black pepper to a bowl of hot pasta, and suddenly dinner feels like something special.
That has always been one of the things we admire most about Italian cooking. It doesn’t rely on dozens of ingredients. It simply asks that the ingredients you choose are good ones.
A Walk Through Italy Without Leaving Jacksonville Beach
One of our favorite moments is watching someone discover the market for the first time.
They might come in looking for a loaf of bread or a birthday cake, only to wander into the market and find shelves filled with imported olive oils, specialty pastas, authentic sauces, Italian cookies, chocolates, coffees, and pantry staples they didn’t expect to see.
Before long they’re asking questions, picking up products they’ve never tried before, and planning dinners on the drive home.
That’s exactly what we hoped this space would become when we expanded beyond the bakery. We wanted to create a place where people could slow down, explore, and leave inspired to gather around the table with family and friends.
Wine Worth Discovering
Although our Summer Sale doesn’t include wine, we would never encourage anyone to skip this part of the market.
Our wine shelves feature bottles from some of Italy’s most celebrated wine regions, each selected because we believe it belongs around the dinner table. Whether you enjoy a bright Pinot Grigio on a warm evening, a crisp Pecorino with seafood, or a bold red shared over a hearty meal, there’s always something waiting to be uncorked.
If you’re unsure where to begin, don’t hesitate to ask. One of our favorite conversations is helping customers find a bottle they’ll enjoy, whether they’re longtime wine lovers or simply curious about trying something new.
The Bakery Is Never Far Away
Of course, no visit to Cinotti’s feels complete without walking through the bakery.
The smell of fresh bread has welcomed customers through our doors for generations, and we still believe there’s nothing quite like carrying home a warm loaf to share with dinner.
If you’re planning pasta night, pick up a loaf of our fresh Italian bread to serve alongside your meal. Before you leave, take a look through the pastry case. You may decide dinner deserves a sweet ending with a slice of Italian Cream Cake, a fresh cannoli, or a box of Italian cookies to enjoy later with coffee.
Slow Down and Stay a While
One of the traditions we admire most about Italy isn’t found in a recipe. It’s found in the pace of the meal.
People gather. They linger. They enjoy one more slice of bread, another cup of coffee, and conversation that lasts longer than the plates stay full.
That’s something we’ve always hoped Cinotti’s could offer, too.
Maybe your visit starts with shopping at the market. Maybe it ends with an espresso from the coffee bar. Or perhaps you simply stop in for bread and leave with a few new ideas for dinner.
However, your visit unfolds, we hope it reminds you that some of life’s best moments happen around the table.
