There is always something new arriving from Italy in our new Italian Market, and honestly, that is part of the fun of walking through the market. One week it is a wheel of aged cheese that disappears almost as quickly as it arrives. The next, it is fresh pasta, imported butter, or a bottle of wine that tastes like it belongs on a table somewhere overlooking the countryside.
This week in the market, our shelves are looking especially good.
Ferrarini Italian Butter
One of the newest arrivals we are excited about is Ferrarini Italian Butter, available in both salted and unsalted varieties. European butter has a richer flavor and creamier texture than most people are used to, thanks to its higher butterfat content. Spread onto fresh bread from the bakery, melted into pasta, or used in baking, it instantly elevates simple recipes into something memorable.
Caputo Type 0 & 00 Flour
And speaking of simple things done well, we also just received new Caputo flours straight from Italy.
Our Caputo Manitoba Oro Type 0 Flour and Caputo Pasta and Gnocchi Type 00 Flour are favorites among Italian bakers and pasta makers for a reason. These are the flours used to create silky pasta dough, tender gnocchi, and beautifully textured breads with that unmistakable Italian chew. If you have ever wondered why Italian bread and pasta taste different, this is where the magic begins.
I Siciliani Primosale Cheese
At the cheese counter, there are a few new arrivals that deserve your attention.
The I Siciliani Primosale cheeses are fresh, flavorful, and perfect for summer boards, sandwiches, or aperitivo spreads. The Peperoncino Chili version brings a gentle heat that pairs beautifully with cured meats and wine, while the Tartufo Truffle cheese adds an earthy richness that feels right at home beside fresh bread and olives. The Fantasia variety brings a little surprise to the table with its creamy texture and balanced flavor.
Ferrarini Cured Meats
Of course, no Italian market is complete without cured meats, and we have some beautiful new additions from Ferrarini.
Our prosciutto crudo is delicate and buttery, perfect layered onto warm bread or served alongside Parmigiano Reggiano and olives. The speck offers a slightly smoky flavor that works beautifully on sandwiches or charcuterie boards, while guanciale remains a must-have ingredient for anyone wanting to make authentic carbonara at home.
Fresh Pasta
Fresh pasta lovers should keep an eye on the refrigerated section this week too.
We just stocked Oro Giallo fresh paccheri and pappardelle, two pastas that make dinner feel restaurant-worthy with almost no effort. Toss them with olive oil, Parmigiano, and cracked pepper, or pair with one of our imported sauces for an easy Italian dinner at home.
Sip and Shop with Italian Wine & Coffee
And because no Italian shopping trip feels complete without something to sip, we are continuing to rotate seasonal Italian wines by the glass in the café. Whether you are discovering a crisp white for summer evenings or a bold Montepulciano to pair with cured meats and cheeses, there is always something new worth trying.
You will also notice fresh European coffee selections making their way into the café as we continue expanding our coffee offerings. Strong espresso, smooth cappuccinos, and rich coffee drinks pair naturally with pastries, desserts, and long afternoons lingering at the table.
Italian Experience at Home
That is really what this series is all about.
Not just products on shelves, but small pieces of Italy arriving right here in Jacksonville. The ingredients, flavors, and traditions that turn an ordinary dinner into something worth slowing down for.
Cinotti’s Bakery & Italian Market
So next time you stop in, take a little extra time walking the aisles. You never know what new favorite you might discover waiting on the shelves from Italy this week.
